How to Get Here

1.25 HOURS BY AIR FROM VANCOUVER.

Located in the Central Coast Mountains of British Columbia, this area is one of the most remote mountain ranges of Canada, and yet very accessible. Bella Coola is a small village at the end of Highway 20, 450 km west of Williams Lake, and 300 km directly north of Whistler.

Included in your ski tour is the cost of a direct flight to/from Vancouver, BC. This is the most expedient and direct route to Bella Coola. Pacific Coastal Airlines departs from the South Terminal of the Vancouver International Airport. The scheduled flight is 1.25 hours to/from Bella Coola. The aircraft of choice for this route is the King Air 1900, seating 11 or 19 passengers with ski luggage. We can arrange private charters (at an additional charge) from Vancouver or Pemberton (Whistler) for any size of group, at your request.


DRIVING TO BELLA COOLA

Be equipped with a winterized, 4WD vehicle (chains too) and have experience as a winter driver. It is best to set out from Williams Lake, BC early in the morning so that your journey to Bella Coola (approx. 5 hours) is in the daylight hours (guests who drive will receive a discounted tour price).

The Vancouver to Bella Coola drive takes about 11 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions. It is best done over two days, with a stop-over in Williams Lake, BC. The route follows #1, then north on #97, then west on #20

Banff to Bella Coola
Bella Coola is a 14 hour drive from Banff. It is best done over two days, with a stop-over in Williams Lake, BC. The route follows #1 in Alberta west to #1 BC through Kamloops to Cache Creek, then north on #97, then west on #20 to Bella Coola.
Travel Time: approximately 14 hours
Distance: approx. 1233 kilometres or 766 miles
