Our guests say the experience as "understated in both word and in the images" - but we will try it anyway in this section of the website. The statistics and facts related to the land, ski terrain and snow, as well as an outline of the safeguards and protocols we follow are explained too.
Bella Coola is big and mostly unknown. Four- to ten- thousand foot (3,000 metres) mountains rise out of sea water inlets. The peaks are draped in deep glaciers. Ski slopes receive 45-80 feet of snow annually. This is the most dramatic ski landscape in the world.
Between the sea and sky many things are possible at Dream Catcher Heliskiing. First descents are a daily affair. You may descend 5,500 foot runs, and see a pod of northern dolphins from the window of the helicopter. You may drop down a fluted rib and enter a nicely forested ski run, and spot a family of sea lions basking on the shoreline on your trip back to the helipad.
This is a land of contrasts that has to be seen to be believed. A land for heliskiing like no other. We are the people can share it all with you.
